QUETTA July 7 (PPI): Police and other law enforcement agencies were in state of war against criminal elements. Success has been achieved in different actions in which people’s support is enjoyed. Arrest of kidnappers has been made due to the help of common man. MPA Majeed Achakzai is also nominated in other cases in addition to killing of traffic sergeant. He is on remand.
This was stated by Deputy Inspector General Police Abdul Razzaq Cheema while addressing a Press conference in which he distributed cash prizes and certificates among police officers and officials here Friday.
He said an accused involved in target killing with head money of Rupees 1.5 million was arrested. Appreciating performance of police officers and officials’ provincial government announced Rupees 15 thousand cash award for each of them along with certificates. He said such steps would encourage police officials and better results against criminals.
He said Safe City is part of our demands and a request has been sent to provincial government. Whenever implementation of this project commences there will be improvement in law and order situation in the city.
Referring to firing incident at Fateha Khan Market Jinnah road two days ago DIG said it was not target killing but killing of Malik Naveed Dehwar is target killing and evidences in this regard have been collected. Firing incident at farm House in Chashma Achozai was also being probed.
He said planting IEDs in different parts of metropolis was torturing citizens. Last night three IEDs were placed in Sariab last night. Two of them were defused while third one exploded but there was no human loss
Referring to abduction incident he said it was matter of relations. The man picked for putting pressure to resolve the matter.
He said when incident took place and there are no cameras private footage is benefited but we take care so that wrong investigations are not held.
