Met Office forecast post-monsoon rains from Friday

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has
indicated chances of more post-monsoon rains for the eastern parts of the country including Lower Sindh, Upper and Central Punjab and Kashmir from Friday.
A fresh westerly wave is also expected to approach upper parts of the
country during the weekend that may generate rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir from Saturday to Monday.
Rain and thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is expected at
isolated places of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Hazara, Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Kalat divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next hours.
The rice growing areas including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and
Sahiwal divisions may receive scattered rains accompanied by gusty winds during Friday to Monday.
The farmers are therefore advised to take the precautionary measures accordingly.
The maximum tempertaures recorded during the last 24 hours were
Islamabad 34 C, Lahore 34 C, Karachi 33 C, Peshawar 35 C, Quetta 33 C, Skardu 31 C, Murree 23 C, Muzzafarabad 34 C, Gilgit 35 C, Faisalabad 37 C, Multan 37 C and Hyderabad 35 C.
