Rs 4b allocated for Youth Training Scheme

ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 (Online): The government has allocated four billion rupees for Youth Training Scheme under Prime Minister's Youth Programme for the current fiscal year.

The scheme is aimed at training the educated youth of the country through internship in private and public sector offices.

All those graduates with 16 years of education from HEC approved educational institutions and not more than 25 years of age are eligible for the scheme. For less-developed areas the upper age limit is 26 years.
Under the scheme 50‚ 000 graduates from all over the country will be given a stipend of 10‚000 rupees per month for a period of one year.

All leading private sector firms and development sector organizations‚ federal‚ provincial and local government offices including educational institutions will be offered services of the internees.
