Met Office forecast light rain for Malakand, Hazara divisions

PESHAWAR, Oct 18 (APP): The Meteorological Department here Friday
forecast light rain at isolated places of Malakand and Hazara divisions during next 24 hours that would hopefully bring the existing temperature down.
According to Met Office spokesman here, Rawalpindi division, Kashmir and
Gilgit-Baltistan are also likely to receive rain at isolated places due a shallow westerly trough, which is still prevailing over Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
In next 24 hours, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the
country. However, light rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit- Baltistan.
Tourists attractive areas like Thandyani, Nathia Gali, Donga Gali and
Ayubi in district Abbottabad and Kalam and Malam Jabba in Swat district are likely to receive light rain. However, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 48 hours.
Weather remained dry in most parts of the country. However, light rain
thunderstorm occurred at a few places of Malakand, Hazara, D.I.Khan divisions Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in last 24 hours.
The maximum rain was received by Dir 8milimeter followed by Chakwal 7mm,
Kalam 6mm, Kotli, Balakot 5mm, Rawalakot, D-I-Khan 3mm, Chitral, Hunza, Lower Dir 2m, Kakul and Muzaffarabad 1mm respectively.
The maximum temperature was recorded at Lasbella and Sibbi 40C whereas
pollen count today remained as 163 per m3 of air.
