47.77% candidates succeed in Intermediate Part-I exam

RAWALPINDI, Oct 22 (APP) : Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and secondary Education (RBISE) Tuesday announced annual result of Intermediate Part-I examination-2013, declaring 47.77 per cent candidates successful.
A total of 52,878 students were appeared in the examination, out of which 24,759 remained successful, while 26,825 were declared fail.
Announcing the result, Chairman RBISE Jawad Haider Sherazi said girl students have taken lead by securing higher passing percentage than their male counterparts.
As many as 23,328 boy students were appeared in the examination, out of which 8,481 were declared successful with a percentage of 37.42. While, girl students' passing percentage stood at 51.81 per cent as 16,278 girls remained successful out of the total 29,550.
