Bomb defused outside Anjum Aqeel’s residence

ISLAMABAD, Oct 25 (ONline): Police thwarted on Friday an attempt to blow up the residence of PML-N’s former MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan in Islamabad.

Officials said unknown miscreants had planted explosive material outside the house of Pakistan Muslim League’s former MNA, Anjum Aqeel Khan, in Golra area of Islamabad’s Sector E-11.

Aqeel's family members informed the police about the bomb which was concealed in a bag. Bomb Disposal Squad was immediate called by the police to defuse the bomb.

Police said it was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing 500 grams and was connected with a remote-control device. The law-enforcers kicked off investigation and a case has been registered at Golra police station.
