Three including former UC Naib Nazim killed in gun attacks, 47 arrested in Karachi

KARACHI Oct 25 (Online): At least three people including former UC naib nazim have been killed in gun attacks in different areas of the violence-hit metropolis on Friday.
Unidentified gunmen killed former UC naib nazim Akbar Siddiqui in Gulshan Iqbal area.
Separately, two people were gunned down in Lee Market area.
On the other hand, Rangers and police have conducted joint targeted action in different areas and arrested 47 suspected criminals.
Law enforcers also raided notorious Baba Lada and Faisal Pathan’s residences. During the operation, a double cabin vehicle, 6 SGM rifles and hundreds of rounds were confiscated.
Police arrested four suspected robbers including their female accomplice from Gulshan Iqbal area. Three pistols and vehicle was seized from their possession.
SSP South Munir Sheikh said that police have arrested 39 suspects included 12 fugitives.
