Fool proof security arrangements given final shape for Moharram at Jhang

JHANG, Oct 30 (Online): The arrangements to a fool proof security have been put in place for peaceful Moharram congregation.
To this effect the district has been divided into four circles namely city circle, Saddar circle, Ahmedpur Sial circle and Shorkot circle , District Police officer (DPO) Zeeshan Asghar told media men.
“This time the security for Moharram congregations is unlike previous times. State of the art security mechanism is to be utilized in maintaining law and order, he said.
The officers have been barred from vacations. A constant search for any suspicious activity is in practice at the entrance to and exit from routes in the district, hotels, guest houses and bus/wagon stands, he said
DPO has also ordered cable operators to refrain from playing CDs and videos of those Islamic scholars who have been banned in Jhang and a strict code of conduct should be followed.
Red alert has been imposed in the city with an increased police patrol.
The DPO also advised the administration of different congregations in the district to keep an eye on suspicious activity and report of any suspicious person instantaneously to the local police. This he said would make certain the safety of congregation participants.
The DPO advised that the congregations should stick to the set routes so as to avoid any mishap. He added that the change or alteration in congregation routes shall be strictly prohibited.
