Blackest day in country’s parliamentary history: Aitzaz

ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (Online): Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentary leader, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has said that today (Wednesday) is the blackest day in the Parliamentary history of Pakistan.

He was talking to media person outside the Parliament house here on Wednesday.

“Terrorism is the biggest problem of Pakistan but how can the country run if we don’t know actual statistics about terrorism”, he said.

Opposition walked out of Senate session on Wednesday as Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan replied rudely over the questions asked by Senator Zahid Khan and Senator Mian Raza Rabbani.

It is pertinent to mention that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan gave false details and information about the statistics of terrorism victims during session that put fuel to fire.

Aitzaz said that Senator Zahid Khan asked the interior minister about the killing data so far in terror activities and Chaudhry Nisar gave wrong details.

PPP leader said that Senator Mian Raza Rabbani told the interior minister that 25 causalities have been reported in Secretariat bus blast and total 212 people were killed in different terror activities.

It is significant to mention that Chaudhry Nisar revealed 192 total causalities during his speech.

“After the arguments of Raza Rabbani, the interior minister treated harshly and replied impolitely,” Aitzaz Ahsan mentioned.

PPP lawmaker said that opposition cautioned the Chairman Senate against the behavior of Interior Minister but despite correcting his behavior, Chaudhry Nisar started hurling catcalls upon opposition than opposition walked out from proceedings of the house, he added.

He said that it has been settled with leader of the house; Raja Zafar-ul-Haq that Chaudhry Nisar should retract his statistics though there is no need to apologize, he added.
