ISLAMABAD, 19 Nov (Online): Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) head Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has lambasted Rawalpindi administration’s sheer ineptness and negligence, in observing fool-proof safety measures for Ashura.

Talking exclusively to ONLINE on Tuesday, he said that the gory Rawalpindi tragedy was a result of unprepared federal and Provincial governments, whose destructive effects had gone reeling upto as far as Kohat and Hangu, giving equally tough time to KPK government’s security measures.

Referring to the treason case against former Army chief and former President Pervez Musharraf, he said that, indicting Mush was not the right decision to be made, since the Federation was already deeply mired in crisis and challenges.

He said that Treason case against Musharraf would be opening another Pandora box, since it would eventually entail cases against other former dictators as well.

The QWP head lauded the success and evolution of democracy in Country, which had eventually taken roots, as the former government retired after completing its 5-year tenure after handing over power to the newly elected government: a practice well-defined by all political parties who are assured that no one would dare to usurp democracy in Pakistan. .

Replying to a question, he said that QWP was strongly against suspending , blocking of NATO supplies , even when it was part of KPK government , while the party was never taken into confidence or consensus over the issue , ever.

He also denied that QWP would join in the sit-in against suspension of NATO supplies on 23ed November.
