KOHAT, Nov 19 (Online): Police arrested 10 suspects believed to be involved in the recent clashes in Kohat that had led to a curfew being imposed in the area.

In a wave of sectarian violence on November 18, two persons – including a police official – were killed. Three others were also injured in the skirmish when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a procession.

The curfew was put in place following the incident, while security forces patrolled the city. All entry and exit points were closed and cellular services were suspended to avoid further violence.

On Tuesday, the security officers arrested 10 suspects and recovered ammunition from their possession. An FIR was also filed against them.

The city is still under curfew, while all educational institutes remained close.
