Punjab Govt approves five uplift schemes of Rs11.730 billion

LAHORE, Nov 20 (INP): The Punjab Government on Wednesday approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs.11.730 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 18th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14. Provincial Secretary P&D Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to handout issued by the Spokesman P&D Department, the approved development schemes included: Up-gradation of Government General Hospital, Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Faisalabad at the cost of Rs. 990.696 million, Saaf Pani Project (SPP) at the cost of Rs. 9470.000 million, Construction of Metaled road from Zain to Kharar Buzdar via Birthi length= 86.50 km (Part-I km No. 0/0 to 10/0=10 km) in District Dera Ghazi Khan (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 269.478 million, Widening / Improvement of Sher Shah Road from Aziz Hotel to Sher Shah Bypass length 16.79 Km in District Multan at the cost of Rs. 335.155 million and Widening / Improvement of Shahdara Maqboolpura Narang Road in District Shiekhupura (length 45.42 km) at the cost of Rs. 664.974 million.
