6 Pakistani prisoners in Afghanistan released

PESHAWAR, Dec 02 (Online): Six Pakistani nationals imprisoned in the American airbase of Afghanistan for more than 5 years have been handed over to Pakistani officials.
Media reports said, 6 Pakistanis were handed over to Pakistani officials on November 16 from American under control Bagram airbase.
Mentioning that, Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC) had given the decision of recovery of these persons and after that foreign office had raised this issue before Afghan officials.
6 persons naming Hameedullah Khan, Sidique Khan, Abdul Qadir, Imran, Mohammad Riaz, Abdul Karim and Khalid Jan have spent 5 to 6 years in the custody of US forces.
One of these persons is an underage prisoner, while 2 of them who were from South Waziristan were kept imprisoned in Bagram airbase for more than 5 years.
1 prisoner from Khyber Agency has also spent 6 years in prison but, now all persons have been shifted to Peshawar jail on judicial remand.
