ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (Online): Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) senior leader Zafar Iqbal Jhagra has said that government’s strategy of dialog with Taliban is clear and operation will not resolve the issues.

On Wednesday while talking to media men outside the parliament house Jhagra said, first priority of government is to hold talks with Taliban, while operation will end this issue only on temporarily basis.”

He said, “We should not be disappointed on refusal of Taliban from dialog, but we have to convince them for this because it is the only way to solve the matter.”

America also tried to solve the issues in Afghanistan with power, but today it is also wishful for negotiations, he added.

“All security forces should be used to control ongoing insurgency and terrorism in the country because it is the responsibility of government to provide peace to its citizens,” Jhagra concluded.
