Blast in Afghanistan kills and wounds 5 civilians

KABUL, Dec 26 (INP): At least five civilians were killed and injured on Wednesday evening in two separate incidents in Afghanistan’s Urozgan province, local officials said on Thursday.

The incident took place in the Dihzak area of Gandomak village of Urozgan province, when a civilian's vehicle hit a road side bomb, officials said.

Two men were killed and one woman wounded, officials said.

The second blast took place in Tagab area of Urozgan province, when a motorbike hit a roadside bomb and two civilians were wounded, officials said.

The victims have been taken to a nearby hospital.

No group including the Taliban have claimed responsibility for the blasts.
