KARACHI, Dec 27 (INP) Managing Director Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Zohair Siddiqui has said there is acute shortage of gas; the gas load management schedule was adversely impacted as the gas supply was to be kept up uninterrupted during the death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in Sindh.

Siddiqui informed the gas supply to the CNG stations will continue today (Friday) on the occasion of Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary; consequently, the CNG stations will have to be kept closed on the upcoming Saturday and Sunday.

Also, the gas will not be provided to fertilizer companies as well on Friday, he added.

The SSGC MD said the schedule of gas closure will be announced soon, making it clear that the domestic consumers are the first priority of the company and the industrial units are the second on this list and the CNG stations come afterwards in the priority list.
