Shahzain Bugti’s convoy barred at Doli checkpost

Quetta, Jan 19 (Online): A convoy of the Bugti tribe led by Shahzain Bugti has been sent back to Kashmor from Doli checkpost due to security concerns, media reports say on Sunday.

According to sources, Shahzain Bugti, who is leading the convoy of his tribe returning to its area, insists that he will go to Dera Bugti at any cost while the provincial government has directed him to delay his return to the area due to security concerns.

Two convoys, , one from Quetta led by Mir Chakar Khan Bugti while another from Sukkur led by Shahzain Bugti, of the tribe had merged in Kashmor and spent their night in Dera Allahyar.

The sources said that security forces stopped the convoy at Doli Checkpost in night and sent it back to Kashmor due to security concerns.

While talking to reporters Shahzain Bugti said that they would definitely go their native town.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has also directed the tribesmen postpone their return.

Fog-related accidents claim 4 lives in Lahore

Lahore, Jan 19 (Online): At least four people lost their lives in overnight roadside accidents spawned by extremely reduced visibility in the metropolis as thick fog shrouded entire Punjab cities following the nightfall, officials say on Sunday.

Several accidents were overnight reported in different areas of the city owing to near-zero visibility amidst dense fog. A motorcyclist was killed when he bumped his motorbike into a car on Gurumangat Road. Another man was injured in the accident.

Meantime, a man riding a motorbike lost his life after he ran into a pylon on Jail Road.

At least two motorcyclists were run over by a truck on Multan Road.

A fast-moving van went out of control and mounted a pavement in the city area of Muslim Town, injuring at least four people. All the injured have been shifted to nearby hospital.
