Karachi direct to beef up security
KARACHI, Jan 23 (Online): Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Sajjad Ghani and Director General (DG) Rangers Sindh Major General Rizwan Akhtar Thursday directed to beef up security and take additional steps to ensure security around the city.
According to media reports, they made these directions during their visit to different areas of the port city to review security arrangements including S.I.T.E area.
In a statement issued by the PRO Sindh Rangers, They also met the S.I.T.E association office bearers and issued order to beef up security.
The Corps Commander and the DG Rangers also directed to take additional steps to ensure security in the surrounding areas of the metropolis.
Meanwhile‚ Rangers in ongoing targeted operation have arrested another fifty-five hardened criminals.
According to Rangers spokesman‚ they include Lyari gang war elements and criminals affiliated with political groups and members of defunct groups involved in heinous crimes and weapons have also been recovered from them.
