Islamabad, Feb 10 (PPI) Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday granted one-day exemption to former president general retired Pervez Musharraf from appearance before court in the judges detention case.
ATC Judge Atiq-ur-Rehman resumed the hearing of the case, during which defence counsel representing the former president filed a petition seeking exemption of his client from appearing before the court. The court approved the petition and adjourned the hearing of the case till February 24.
The case over the detention of the judges is based on an FIR filed against Musharraf in August 2009. The FIR itself is based on a complaint by a lawyer named Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam Ghumman.
