MIRPUR March 18 (Online): England edged past Pakistan by two wickets with one ball to spare in Savar in their first warm-up game ahead of the upcoming Women's World Twenty20.

Pakistan won the toss but, before there was a run on the board, they lost both openers to off-spinner Danielle Hazell, who took 2-3 from two overs.

Nida Dar and captain Sana Mir both hit 36 as Pakistan made 106-6 in 20 overs.

Lydia Greenway top-scored for England with 34, but Anya Shrubsole's unbeaten eight from five balls saw them home.

England have one more warm-up game, against New Zealand on Friday, before their group matches against West Indies (24 March), India (26 March), Bangladesh (28 March) and Sri Lanka (30 March).
