One more polio case emerges in NWA

MIRANSHAH, Mar 18 (Online): One more polio case has emerged in North Waziristan.
According to a private TV channel blood samples of an 11 month baby girl Sapna belonging to Shewa area of NWA was sent to lab for testing.
Polio virus has been confirmed in the girl.
According to the national health department report, country has registered 19 cases this year and 17 of them were confirmed in North Waziristan Agency while two others belong to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The reports said that North Waziristan Agency had recorded 44 cases, highest number of the 92 cases registered in the country in 2013.
Sources claimed that 0.26 million children were deprived of polio drops in North Waziristan.
