PIA so far carried 25,000 intending Hajjis in pre-Hajj operation

KARACHI, Sept 16 (APP): The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)
on the seventh day of its pre-Hajj Operation operated six special Hajj
flights while carrying around 25,00 Hujjaj to the Holy Land.
A spokesman of the airline said here that on Monday, PIA's PK 2115
carrying 497 Hujjaj left Karachi at 6:25 AM, from Peshawar PK 2613
carrying 329 at 09:20 AM, from Lahore PK 2215 carrying 499 at 11:25 AM,
another flight from Peshawar PK 2015 carrying 329 at 2:00 PM, from
Multan PK 2315 carrying 503 at 7:35 PM and from Quetta PK 2715 took off
at 10:00 PM carrying 329 pilgrims to the Holy Land.
The departure and arrival of all flights was on time, the PIA
spokesman added.
He said that till now the total uplift of intending pilgrims
stand at 13,500 by thirty seven Hajj flights.
So far, four Hajj flights from Karachi carried 1,426, nine
flights from Lahore 4,457; nine flights from Islamabad 4,311; eight
flights from Peshawar 2,871; four flights from Quetta 1,314 and two
flights from Multan carried 1,005 Hujjaj to Saudi Arabia.
On Tuesday, a total of five special flights are scheduled to
operate; two from Peshawar and one each from Quetta, Karachi and
Multan.
