Cabinet meeting continued second day

This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while chairing meeting of provincial cabinet second day here Tuesday.
Cabinet reviewed implementation of PDSP for current financial year. Additional Chief Secretary Development Aslam Shakir Baloch briefed cabinet about pace of work on Kalat-Quetta-Chaman highway, expansion of Hoshab-Naag-Baseema-Surab road, fly overs at Sariab road and Koila Phatak, construction of 100 delay action dams under Balochistan Package-1, Kachhi canal Phase-1 upto Dera Bugti, Nolang Storage dam Jhal Magsi and Shadi Kor dam Gwadar and other ongoing development projects.
Meeting also reviewed release of funds for Federal PSDP, MPA schemes and provincial PSDP schemes. Meeting was told that only 25 percent of allocated funds were released for schemes of federal PSDP.
Chief Minister and members expressed concern over this situation and decided that parliamentary delegation of parties include din coalition government would go to Islamabad and hold talks with federal government in the matter and ensure release of funds.
About MPA schemes ACS Development told that of allocated Rupees 16 billion for schemes proposed approval has been accorded for Rupees 8 billion. It is hoped that 80 percent implementation of MPA schemes would be done by end of the year. He aid several MPAs have not proposed schemes yet.
Chief Minister said that utilization of allocated budget must be ensured.
Cabinet expressed grave concern over delay in implementation of provincial PSDP projects particularly non release of funds. Chief Minister said that Ministers should review schemes along with secretaries of their departments. He aid PC-1 of all projects should be prepared immediately, timely release of funds be ensured and allocated development budget should be utilized by end of the year. He said there should be no delay in implementation of development schemes. If there was any lapse he would not tolerate it. He said none can be allowed to waste people’s money. Any officer of secretary involved in impediment or lapse in implementation of developments and non use of development funds earmarked strict action would be taken.
