SIBI Apr 10 (PPI): Seven out of 17 burnt dead bodies of Sibi train explosion were identified while others remained unidentified and these would pass through DNA test.
According to details an explosion occurred at Rawalpindi bound Jaffar train when it reached here on Tuesday last. Due to explosion fire broke out in bogie no 9 and 17 persons were burnt to death. Only seven bodies were identified while remained were not and these are kept at the mortuary of civil hospital Quetta for their relatives to identify them. DNA test of these bodies would be conducted for their identification. One of them was railway employee Ghulam Sarwar, one woman and a man were from Dera Allah Yar. One was resident of Karachi known as Saifuddin son of Nawab Khan. Five persons were identified in Sibi.
Of the dead eight were Hindus from Noshki. They could not be delivered to their relatives.
Eye witnesses sail that number of dead was higher but exact number could not be known yet. Only 17 bodies were recovered.
