LPG prices reduced by Rs 10 per kilo

LAHORE, April 22 (Online): LPG (liquid petroleum gas) has been reduced by Rs 10 per kilo, bringing down the price of household cylinder by Rs 100 and that of commercial cylinder by Rs 385.
The reason by reduction in tariff by LPG marketing companies is conducive and effective strategy adopted by government in production of local gas sources, ending the artificially created shortage by unscrupulous LPG marketing companies.
The chairman LPG distributors Association, Irfan Khokhar has said that further reductions were also on the anvil in forthcoming May, while an effective and conducive governmental policy would result in about 500 metric tons of local yield.
He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude for extreme consideration and concern of federal petroleum minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, due to which LPG had become almost 50% cheaper than diesel and petrol, providing great relief to poor rickshaw and taxi drivers.
The new tariff of LPG products would cost Rs 110 per kilo in Karachi, household cylinder at Rs1270, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sialkot Rs 115 per kilo , while the household cylinder at Rs 1330, and Hyderabad , Gujrat, Bahawalpur, Multan, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Attock and Mirpur Rs 120 per kilo with household cylinder at Rs1390.
Prices for Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, are Rs 125 per kilo, with household cylinder at Rs 1450 and Rs 130 for Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and Bagh with household cylinder at Rs 1510.
