T20 cricket tournament gets underway: DIG FC

QUIETTA Juen 24 (PPI): All Pakistan T20 Cricket Tournament has begun here Tuesday. Nineteen teams from all over the country are participating.
First phase would continue upto June 28. Second phase would start from July 5 and end on July 19.
This was stated by Deputy Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan Brigadier Khalid Saleem at a brewing here Tuesday.
Provincial Secretary Sports hafiz Abdul Basit and others were also present.
Brig Saleem said T20 matches would be held at Bugti Stadium and prov8incial government was also extending cooperation for this.
He aid it is a fact situation in Balochistan was very bad while youth had negative thinking. But for the last one year since present government came to power situation has improved and law and order also improved and negative thoughts of youth was ending and they were taking part in healthy activities.
We have decided to organise T20 cricket tournament with the cooperation of provincial government so that people should also take part and youth can be able to participate. He aid cricket players form all over the country will participate in this tournament Provincial government was extending full cooperation with us. We also enjoy cooperation of other organizations.
He said first phase of the tournament will get underway form today (Tuesday) and it would continue till June 28. Second phase will commence from July 5 during Ramazan and end on July 19. Nineteen teams will participate in this tournament form all over the country. He aid different stalls would also be setup at Bugti Stadium for the interest of the people including food and others. A draw system would also be held.
He said we are also trying some international cricket players should join this tournament but their enjoyments are much more. We are also trying to invite Shahid Afridi. We wanted to invited teams form Iran and Afghanistan but for technical reasons they may not come over here.
Answering a question eh said we expect expenditures form 20 to 30 million. However we would do our best to keep them much below.
Answering another question he said football is also good game and it can be called people?s game. We will try to include football as and when we organise any other event so that youth also take part.
Secretary Sports Hafiz Basit said that Sports festival would be held on august 14 and football would be included there. He aid previous festival was a big success and youth took place.
