Widespread rain likely in various parts: PMD

ISLAMABAD, July 25 (APP): Pakistan Meteorologcail Department (PMD) on
Firday forecast widespread rain-thundershower for various parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
Rain-thundershower is likely in Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi,
Gujranwala, Hazara, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad, Karachi, Kallat, Makran divisions, scattered places in Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahwalpur, D.G.Khan, Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Banuu, D.I.Khan, Zhob, Sukkur and Larkana divisions, while isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Heavy falls are also expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Hazara,
Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions during the period.
According to the synoptic situation, well marked seasonal low was lying
over northwest Baluchistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending
southeastwards.
Strong monsoon currents were continuously penetrating into upper and
central parts of the country and Sindh.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Nokkundi 46 C, Dalbandin 45 C, Sibbi 44 C, Chillas and Dadu 43 C.
The temperatures recorded in the otrher cities were Islamabad 26 C, Lahore 35 C, Karachi 31 C, Peshawar 29 C, Quetta 37 C, Skardu 36 C, Murree 20 C, Muzaffarabad 27 C, Gilgit 41 C, Faisalabad 37 C, Multan 39 C and Hyderabad 30 C.
The rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Balakot 97 mm, Muzaffarabad 90, Islamabad (Saidpur 71, Zeropoint 38, Golra 11, Bokra 18), Rawalpindi (Chaklala 54, Shamsabad 22), Garidupatta 23, Hyderabad 16, Thatta 13, Malamjabba 11, Murree 11, Chirat 10, Mirpur Khas 05, Sadu Sharif 03, Kakul, Mangla, Karachi(AP), Rawalakot and Barkhan 01mm.
