T-20 cricket match generates Rs 25m donation for IDPs

FAISALABAD, July 25 (APP): A T-20 fund raising cricket match played
between Pakistan-A and Faisalabad Eleven at Iqbal stadium here generated
Rs 25 million donation for IDPs of North Waziristan.
A large number of spectators was present in the stadium to enjoy the match. The administration st up special ticket booths for general enclosure in the stadium.
The match was declared tie as both teams Pakistan -A and Faisalabad Eleven scored 156 on the loss of 8 wickets in fixed overs.
On the occasion, three bats signed by legends cricketers were also placed for auctions which were purchased by local industrialists Sheikh Danish, Umar Farooq Kashif and Malik Pervez in Rs 1.5 million.
The industrialists and traders community has already deposited donation of Rs 60 million in relief fund set up Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif through DCO Noor ul Amin Mengal.
Provincial Minister for Law Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was chief guest while State Minister for Power and Water Ch Abid Sher Ali, MPAs Sheikh Ijaz Ahmed, Haji Ilyas Ansari, Haji Khalid Saeed, Zafar Iqbal Nagra, Mian Tahir Jamil, Rae Usman Kharl, Begum Surya Nasim, DG sports Punjab Usman Anwar and others were also present.
