Islamabad extortion case: Court calls for fresh report by October 4

ISLAMABAD Sept 18 (Online): Deputy Commissioner, IG and CDA Chairman’s joint report was presented in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) hearing the extortion case on Wednesday.
IHC Justice Shaukat Siddiqui during the hearing wanted to know as to which authority the extortion money were taken to, who among the administration and political personalities were the beneficiaries. He also enquired from the police why and what for vegetables and fruits were being supplied to the CDA officers free of cost.

The court acceding to the request of over 10 shopkeepers of the Islamabad Sabzi Mandi to become a party in the extortion case, called for a anew report from IG police by October 4.



The court has also called for a report from the Sabzi Mandi police station SHO in the next hearing and directed that the report should be prepared without being influenced by the rank, status and position.
