QUETTA Sep 13 (PPI): Traffic Police has realized Rupees 13.9 million as challan for violation of various traffic rules during past ten months.
This was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Hamid Shakeel at a press conference here Saturday.
He said even last month Rupees 3.614 million have been recovered as fine while taking action against encroachments and as challan.
He said indiscriminate action was underway against without number plate, non registered and tinted glasses vehicles. Traffic police needs at least six lifters to abolish wrong parking. Suggestions have been given to provincial government and administration to stop wrong parking in front of hospitals and violation of one way. If these suggestions were implemented problems would be overcome to great extent.
He was of the view that there is rush of rickshaws in the city creating problem in the free flow of traffic. For this reason traffic police has also started action against illegal rickshaws and it has improved flow of traffic to some extent.
SSP Traffic said for the first time a change has been made in traffic police. It is our duty to take action against traffic rules violators. He said parents should stop their children from one wheeling on off days. It is dangerous of their lives. He said action was taken against one-wheelers and more than 100 motorcycles were challened.
