3 killed, 24 injured in bomb explosion

QUETTA Sep 13 (PPI): Three persons including FC personnel were killed and 20 others sustained injuries several seriously in remote control bomb explosion in Satellite town area here Saturday. Several vehicles including FC patrol van were destroyed.
According to details terrorists had planted around 40 Kg explosive material in a vehicle and parked it at Sariab link road in Satellite town area here today. It was exploded by remote control hen FC patrol van passed nearby. As a three persons including FC soldier were killed. They were identified as Muhammad Munir, Fareedullah and Samandar Khan.
Twenty others Sajawal, Nazuk Mir, Muhammad Ramzan, Naeemudidn, Gulistan, Sher Alam, Muhammad Ismail, Gul Muhammad, Nemat, Muhammad Saeed, Syed Khan, Noor Muhammad, Nadeem, Muhammad Yaseen, Abdul Satar, Yasin, Abdul Jaffar and others were injured. They were shifted to civil hospital and CMH.
Capital City Police Officer Abdul Razzaq Cheema told Newsmen that when a FC vehicle was passing Link Sariab road when explosive material was blasted. As a result FC personnel and two others were killed and 19 others were injured. A child and 2 FC soldiers were among the injured. Bomb had nut bolt and nails. FC personnel sitting on front seat was killed. FC vehicle was badly damaged while windowpanes of houses and shops in the vicinity were broken. Initial report said FC vehicle was targeted.
He said on information relief activities were started. Police and FC personnel cordoned the area and started investigation.
Meanwhile Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while condemning the explosion order ordered an inquiry into the explosion and called a report. He directed for every possible medical treatment of the injured persons.
Expressing sympathy with the bereaved families he said government would chase terrorists till their elimination.
