Finance Department gathering details of pensioners

QUETTA Sep 21 (PPI): Provincial Finance Department was gathering details of pensioners from treasury offices and National Bank. After completion fake and wrong pensioners would be ended and real pensioners would be given facilities.
According to details for the first time in the past 67 years all pensioners would be registered in biometric database through a comprehensive and scientific procedure and their identification would be made through NADRA. All these efforts are aimed at to make payment of pensions through ATM. Pensioners have appreciated this step and were participating in the drive.
Supreme court of Pakistan has made all Chief Secretaries and Controller General of Accounts to ensure payment of pensions through ATM by December2013. The Court has also ordered State Bank to ensure payment of pensions from scheduled banks.
According to an estimate Finance Department has identified at least 5800 suspected cases in 15 districts and 1200 cases of death. These cases were being thoroughly scrutinized. With the result thousands of fake cases would be closed. Government of Balochistan would save millions of Rupees monthly and billions on yearly basis. When completed the work in 30 districts the amount thus saved could be doubled.
Finance Department was planning to open Pensioners Facilitation Centre for pensioners in Balochistan.
