Journalists hunger strike enters second day

QEUTTA Sep 24 (PPI): Journalists hunger strike camp entered second day here Wednesday.
Camp has been setup at the gate of Balochistan Assembly to protest non arrest of killers of Irshad Mastoi Bureau Chief Online News Agency and Assignment Editor ARY News channel and his two colleagues Abdul Rasool and Muhammad Yunus.
Vice President Balochistan Union of Journalists Hameed Yusufzai, Finance Secretary Quetta Press Club Khaleel Ahmed, Joint Secretary Irfan Rana, Finance Secretary BUJ Abdul Shakoor, Abdul Ghaffar langav Secretary Generla Editors Council Journals, Malik Saeed Ahmed Rodeni Anuuman Akhbar Faroshan joined hunger strike today.
President Press Club Razaur Rehman, Acting Secretary General BUJ Chaudhry Imtiaz and other senior journalists remained present at the camp.
A large number of dignitaries visited the camp to express solidarity with the journalists. They included Speaker Balochistan Assembly Jan Muhammad Jamali, Deputy Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, provincial minister Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, former Nazim Chiltan Town Quetta Ismail Lehri, former Secretary Balochistan Assembly Muhammad Khan Mengal, Deputy Secretary General Jamatud Dawa Nadeem Awan, Ms Shazia Langav National Party, Zulfiqar Talpar NGO Hands, Senior Vice President Balochistan High Court Bar Association Syed Uzair Agha, Muhammad Masood Achakzai from Media and Journalism Department University of Balochistan.
Besides political and social leaders visited the camp and expressed solidarity. They demanded of the government for the arrest of killers of martyred journalists and payment of compensation accord to security forces personnel category.
