QUETTA Nov 1 (PPI): Seventh Muharram procession was taken out here Saturday. It passed off peacefully. Strict security measures wre adopted on the occasion.
According to details 7 th Muharram procession was taken out from Alamdar Road. It marched on its traditional route including McConghy road, Archer road, Kasi road and terminated at Punjabi Imam Bargah.
Hundreds of police, security forces personnel and other law enforcement agencies people were deployed for the security. The procession was also monitored by helicopters.
All the markets, Bazars, shops along the procession route were sealed a day earlier. Roads leading to the procession route were also closed.
No untoward incident was reported.
