KHARAN Nov 2 (PPI): For the first time Centre was launching mega projects in Balochistan. Prime Minister has accorded approval of Rupees 500 million under first phase for Rs 50 billion Kharan-Dalbandin road. It would connect to Central Asia and Europe.
This was stated by Federal Minister Lt General (R ) Abdul Qadir Baloch at a Press conference at his residence during his visit to Kharan Sunday.
He said it is his desire this road should become motorway.
Qadir Baloch said during general elections he had made promise of lunching some projects. Steps have been taken for their implementation. Gas supply for Kharan has been approved and work on it would start soon. Punjab Chief Minister has granted gift of Technical Training Centre for ending unemployment. He was thankful to him.
He aid Rupees 230 million have been approved under Federal PSDP for building Bado Brigde in Kharan. He aid under GIZ programme with German and Pakistan collaboration all legal tube wells in Kharan would be brought on solar system. Passport office would also be established in the area. He said a hospital was being built in Kharan with the cooperation of welfare body of Kuwait while Ban Aab project has been completed for supply of drinking water to the city and people were being supplied 40 percent water.
He said Alhamrak and Raskoh areas Kharan would be supply electricity through solar system and Lajjy would be supplied electricity by Rupees 20 million.
Federal Minister said building of 4500 houses for earthquake affectees in Mashkel area of District Washuk along Pak-Iran border Rupees 900 million have been allowed. Of this Rupees 450 million would be provided by Central Government and remaining 450 million by provincial government. He said electricity would be spread to Mashkel and Baseema and adjoining areas at a cost of Rupees 250 million.
