QUETT A Nov 2 (PPI): An under training officer of FBR was backing smuggling mafia and torturing legal traders of Quetta by one mean or the other because he also belongs to a political party.
This was stated by Hamza Tareen at an emergency meeting of Pak-Iran Business Alliance meeting here Sunday.
Meeting said the said officer was undergoing training of MCMC course of FBR Islamabad and under rules he cannot be posted at any Custom House. Presently this officer has been made incharge of Customs House Taftan and Headquarters Sukkur.
Meeting appealed to Chairman FBR, Member Customs, Member Admin FBR, Chief Collector and Chairman FOPCCI Anti Smuggling Naseebullah Tareen to take action against the said officer.
It suggested that for promotion of trade between Pakistan and Iran a honest officer should be posted. It added if no action was taken against the said officer Pak-Iran Business Alliance would stage protest soon after Muarramul Haram.
