QUETTA Nov 10 (PPI): An exhibition T20 cricket match was played at Nawab Bugti Cricket Stadium here Monday.
Match was played between Shahid Afridi Eleven and Gul Muhammad Khilji Eleven.
Shahid Afridi XI comprised former Pakistan Captain Shahid Khan Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Fawad Alam, Adnan Nasir and others won the toss and invited Gul Muhammad Khailji to bat first. Gul Muhammad XI scored 154 runs in 20 overs.
In reply Shahid Afridi XI reached the target in 15 overs for loss of 3 wickets and won the match by 7 wickets. Shahid Afridi scored 77 runs, Adnan Nasir 72.
Noted Pashto singer Naghma, Gul Panza and Rokson also participated in the match.
In his brief chat with Newsmen Shahid Afridi said purpose of this match was about Shahid Afridi Foundation to make it a good institution for providing better facilities to the people.
He said we thank Organisers for Quetta match and hope that they would further cooperate with us in this regard.
Strict security measures were made on the occasion. Police and FC troops were deployed for security.
