3-day anti polio drive gets underway

QUETTA Nov 10 (PPI): Three Day anti Polio drive began in 11 districts of Balochistan Monday. During the campaign 1.346 million children would be administered polio drops.
According to details 3-day anti polio drive began in eleven districts of Balochistan today. These districts are Quetta, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Musakhel, Zhob, Sherani, Loralai, Killa Saifullah, Naziabad, Jaffarabad and Lasbella. Thirteen lakh, 46 thousand children upto five years of age will be fed anti polio drops.
According to Deputy Manager EPI Dr Muhammad Ishaq Panezai 3089 teams have been constituted for the drive while anti polio vaccine would also be given to children at 343 health centres. Similarly 169 transit points have also been made for feeding polio vaccine.
Meanwhile Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha chaired meeting in which Secretary health, Commissioner Quetta Division, Deputy Commissioner Quetta, senior officers and doctors attended.
