Boy killed, 32 people injured in explosion

QUETTA Nov 11 (PPI): A boy was killed and 32 people were injured in an explosion along Zarghoon (Double) road here Tuesday.
According to police when caravan of Judge Anti Terrorism Court Nazir Ahmed Langav and DSP Shalkot Shafqat Janjua was passing near Zarghoon market Zarghoon Road here today, an explosion took place. Judge Anti Terrorism Court and DSP remained safe but a venire of Judge?s convoy was partially damaged.
As a result of explosion a 13 year boy Uzair Ahmed died on the spot. Hospital sources said 32 people including Bilal, Abdul Basit, Tahir, Osman Ali, Zaheer, Zahoor Ahmed, Shahzad Ahmed, Hakeemullah, Abdullah, Abul Ahad, Abdul Sami, Habibullah, Noor, Kashif, Fareed, Gul Muhammad, Javaid, Ajmal, Muhammad Ayub, Muhammad Raheel, Dad Muhammad and four police men Muhammad Daud, Ashraf, Sher Hassan were injured. Condition of two injured is stated to be very serious.
Police said explosive material was planted in a car which was parked at the site. Ten vehicles and several shops were damaged.
Police, FC and relief teams reached the scene and shifted injured to civil hospital.
SSP Operations Aitzaz Hussain Goraya who visited the site of explosion told newsmen that apparently Judge Anti Terrorism Court Nazir Ahmed Langav was the target. However matter was being probed. Six police vehicles were also damaged.
Bomb disposal Squad 40 to 50 Kg explosives was planted in the vehicle.
Deputy Commissioner Quetta Abdul Lateef Kakar visited civil hospital and enquired about health of injured people inZarghoon road explosion. He assured the relatives that all possible measures would be ensured for the treatment of injured people. He also spoke to doctors about treatment of injured people.
