QUETTA Nov 13 (PPI): Improving law and order situation and providing security to the masses is not only responsibility of government but it is included in the priorities of the government as well.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha while chairing a high level meeting on law and order situation in the province at IG Police office here Thursday.
Additional IG Police Ahsan Mahbub, Additional IG Establishment Shahzada Sultan, CCPO Abdul Razzaq Cheema, Commissioner Quetta Qambar Dashti, Director General IT Khalid Sher Dil and other senior officers attended.
Taking serious notice of incidents of bomb explosion and target killing here the other day Chief Secretary strongly condemned them and said some elements were conspiring to deteriorate situation in Quetta City and playing with lives of innocent people. They deserve no leniency at all.
He told meeting that Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has directed to provide security to the masses at every cost and province should be made cradle of peace. He said installations of secret cameras at the inlet and exit points of city should be completed immediately to stop incidents of terrorism. It can improve the situation to a great extent.
He directed that police patrolling teams should be increased in the city and life and property of people should be ensured.
Earlier CCPO Abdul Razzaq Cheema conducted a detailed briefing bout law and order situation.
Chief Secretary assured that government would extend possible cooperation with police. All requirements of police force, weapons and modern equipment and required funds for training would also be released.
Meeting took some important decisions for improving law and order and directed concerned quarters for immediate implementation of these decisions.
