Passenger injures in firing along RCD highway

KHUZDAR Nov 17 (PPI): A passenger was injured when highway robbers opened fire on coaches near Wadh in wee hours Monday.
Earlier two days back armed men looted passenger in running coach near Khuzdar and left the vehicles under the dark.
Passengers said four robbers boarded the coach as passenger going to Karachi form Quetta. When it reached near Khuzdar, they took out their pistols. One of them assumed control of steering of the coach. Three others opened a bag and asked passengers to drop their valuables including cash, mobile phones, wrist watches, rings and other costly items. They however did not harass female passengers. Then they left the vehicle and disappeared in the dark.
According to details armed highway robbers opened fire on passenger coaches going to Karachi from Quetta at Waheer area near Wadh about 40 miles south of Khuzdar in small hours today. Tyres of coaches were burst. One passenger was injured in highway robbers firing.
Coach drivers parked their vehicles on the RCD highway in protest and blocked the traffic. Traffic remained block for several hours. Protesting drivers demanded security and arrest of highway men.
