Lyari Amn Committee leader Zafar Baloch's laid to rest

KARACHI: The slain Lyari Amn Committee leader, Zafar Baloch and his bodyguard Ghani Baloch, have been laid to rest at Mewa Shah graveyard, Geo News reported.
Earlier, the funeral prayers were offered at Lyari football ground. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Najmi Alam, Abdul Qadir Patel and Provincial Minister for Kachi Abadi Javed Nagori besides large number of people attended the funeral.
Zafar Baloch, along with his bodyguard was killed in the limits of Kalakot police on Wednesday. Police and PAC leaders said after taking him to Lyari General Hospital, Zafar Baloch was moved to private hospital in critical condition.
Tension gripped Lyari and adjacent areas following the killing of Zafar Baloch.
SSP Fasal Bashir Memon said that heavy contingents of police and Rangers have been deployed in Lyari following the incident.
No arrests have been made so far.
