QUETTA Nov 28 (PPI): People from all walks of life have to play role for end to intolerance and extremism from society.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while addressing National Advisery Forum organised by Aurat Foundation here Thursday.
Chief Minister said provincial government would not only welcome suggestion of civil society about violence against women, discriminatory attitudes and their activation in all spheres of activity but would make effective laws and take necessary steps in this regard also. He said political forces, civil society, Media, lawyers and intellectuals and other from all walks of life have to play their positive role for end to extremism, intolerance. He said without minimizing poverty education, health and other economic indicators cannot be made better.
He said if more than half of country?s population would not participate in economic activities how would we face developed world and our economic problems. He aid provincial government was taking effective and concrete measures for quality and higher education. It was resulting in trend of securing education. He said during the current year two thousand applications have been received for M Phil and PhD. He said government would bear fees of all applicant students.
Dr Malik Baloch said steps were being taken for providing opportunities of quality education for the students of public educational institutions so that they could also compete big and known private educational institutions children in the field of education.
He said Aurat Foundation should carry out research for improving economic condition of women in interior of Balochistan and send them provincial government. Government would take necessary measures in this regard.
