QUETTA Dec 5 (PPI): Intellectual services of Gul Khan Naseer are valuable asset of Baloch literature and Baloch history. He raised voice against excess of colonial and feudal system, injustices through his pen and made visionary efforts to development collective consensus among the masses.
These views were made by Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai while addressing 100 th international seminar held on the work and personality of Gul Khan Naseer here Friday.
Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, provincial minister Mujeebur Rehman Muhammad Hasani and a large number of international literary and learned people attended the seminar.
Governor said Gul Khan Naseer was among the founding journalists of the province. His progressive thoughts and national poetry affected Baloch literary and political people. He can be paid homage when we form an atmosphere peace and justice for bright future where an educated and envisioned stratum develops.
He said we have started a new journey in this regard which we can continue through belief in Almighty and our self confidence. He said he was sure various aspects of multi dimensional personality of Gul Khan Naseer can be highlighted through such ceremonies. Services for Balochi language and his progressive thoughts would be spread to the world.
He hoped that this seminar would not only move intellect and literary people but would prove fruitful for them.
Expressing pleasure Governor Achakzai said it is honour for him that he very well knows all political leaders of 1930 decade. He said period from 1930 to 1950 was quite difficult for political workers and leaders. They boldly faced this difficult period and served motherland and its sons.
He said history of backwardness and deprivation of Balochistan is not new but its history is very long. Balochistan has been badly neglected during colonial regime with the result it has been lagging behind in race of development and despite the fact its population is very small this region is comforted with illiteracy, poverty, children?s mortality, unemployment, unemployment and nutrition.
He said this province is rich in mineral and resources but unfortunately huge investment and modern technology is direly needed for their exploration and utilization.
He urged provincial government to take large scale measures for end to hunger, poverty and diseases.
Earlier Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch presented paper in Balochi language, Progressive writer from Afghanistan Capital Kabul Professor Abdul Sattar in Persian, former Chief Secretary Abdul Hakeem Baloch and BM Koti in English while senior journalist Majeed Asghar read his paper in Urdu on the personality and thought of Gul Khan Naseer.
