UoB to conduct annual examinations of M.A / M.Sc. from today

QUETTA: The University of Balochistan (UoB) is set to conduct the annual examinations of Master of Arts (M.A) / (Master of Science) M.Sc. in Quetta from today (Saturday).
According to the sources of the UoB, the examinations are being conducted in all 48 disciplines / subjects of the M.A and M.Sc.
Around 17,500 candidates (male and female) are appearing in the annual examinations, the sources maintained.
They are included: some 7,500 regular and 8,000 private candidates. Among regular students, there are around 4,500 students appearing in the final year examinations while some 3,000 are going to take part in the previous year exams.
As many as 38 exam centers have been established within the premises of the UoB with 30 set up in other educational institutions located in different parts of Quetta.
A vigilance team headed by the Vice Chancellor has been formed to prevent cheating and other unfair means in the annual examinations.
Other members included in the team are: Pro-Vice Chancellor of UoB, Registrar, Controller Examinations and deans of all the faculties.
The team would take steps for prevention of the unfair means in the examinations.
On-the-spot action would be taken against those students found cheating in the exams. The necessary action would also be taken against the exam staff of the center (s).
Meanwhile, Chief Minister had also formed a task force for monitoring of the M.A / M.Sc annual examinations starting from today.
The task force would comprise the Provincial Ministers, members of Provincial Assembly and concerned high ups.
The task force would conduct surprise visits of the examination centers in the province. The on-the-spot action would be taken against the students found cheating as well as the examination staff.
Action would also be taken against the unauthorized persons to be found in the examination centers, as per the official hand out issued here.
Earlier, an official notification issued here by the University mentioned that, the candidates would be able to obtain their roll number slips from the Superintendents of their respective examination centers.
They can also visit the University’s website to get information regarding their roll number slips and the exam centers.
