QUETTA Dec 6 (PPI): Balochistan Assembly disposed off a privilege emotion moved by PML MPA Asim Kurd Galloo here Saturday.
Deputy Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo chaired the session.
Moving his motion Asim Kurd Gallo said his motion was on statement of Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch against his remarks of corruption on members of Assembly. He said leveling charges by Chief Minister is regretful. If he used language as of Imran Khan and Shaikh Rasheed Chief Dr Malik would find no place to hide him.
Strongly reacting to his remarks Dr Shama Ishaq asked him to speak with better words and not use improper words against Chief Minister. They two MPAs exchanged hot words.
Asim Kurd said he has been coming to the assembly since 1990. He never tabled any privilege emotion against any member of the house nor did he like it. But he was forced to do so today because Chief Minister issued uncivilized statement against honorable members. We strongly condemn this and make it clear we also can speak. If we talked in the manner like Imrna Khan and Shaikh Rasheed Chief Minister would find no place to hide.
He suggested formation of a committee including him. Chief Minister should present his stance. Whoever was found responsible he should be dealt with by privilege committee.
Dr Shama Ishaq said Chief Minister is elected Chief Minister of the house. Whoever uses wrong language against Chief Minister he should be stopped. She asked the chair to expunge wrong words against Chief Minister from the proceedings. Chair expunged words Chief Minister was imposed upon us.
President PML Balochistan Shaikh Jaffar Mandokhel and PMAP Parliamentary leader Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said that present is elected government in Balochistan. We believe in democracy. Whatever are the problems, government was ready to call a meeting to discuss them. Chief Minister has clarified his statement that hurt members. May be it is because of some misunderstanding. So said member should withdraw his privilege motion.
Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said we were not opposed to requisitioned session of the house because we wanted to debate the issue for which session was called. He said it is fact standing committees have not been formed. He said we never claimed there is complete law and order in the province but it is better than previous and it was improving slowly. We have to resolve all problems by sitting together.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said while answering question asked by newsmen yesterday he did not speak wrong against Members. He only said that it is pity that Gallo and Maulana Wasay who were part of previous government were leveling charges of corruption against us.
After his statement Chair disposed off privilege motion.
Now session would be held on Monday.
