Group of foreign intellectuals visit Balochi Academy

QUETTA: A group of the intellectuals and scholars coming from abroad visited the Balochi Academy here the other day.
On their visit, a ceremony was arranged to honour them. They belonged to Ukraine, Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Kenya.
The visiting Baloch and non-Baloch scholars also expressed their views on the occasion. They said that the Baloch studied in the Soviet Union and contributed in development of the Baloch nation.
They stressed the need to make collective efforts for development and prosperity of the Baloch nation.
They said that it is an appreciable that the Balochs are maintaining their separate identity in the world.
Sets of books of collection of the renowned Baloch poet, writer, historian and politician, Mir Gul Khan Naseer and other publications were gifted to the visiting guests.
It may be mentioned here that the foreign intellectuals visiting the Balochi Academy had participated in the centenary celebrations of Mir Gul Khan Naseer in Quetta last week.
The two-day celebrations included an international level seminar on the renowned literary and political figure of the province as well as Mehfil-e-Mushaira besides other activities.
