26 detained in Rangers, police targeted operation

KARACHI Sept 19 (Online):At least 26 suspects were held during targeted operation in different parts of Karachi on Wednesday.
According to details four suspects were arrested during targeted operation conducted by Rangers in Issa Goth area near Aisha Manzil. Rangers also arrested a member of a banned outfit, Munir Alam, and handed him over to Liaquatabad police.
Police launched a targeted operation in Ittehad Town and arrested six suspects while three accused were arrested from Baloch Colony and recovered arms and drugs from them.
Police also arrested two accused from Lee Market area in Napier after an encounter and recovered a stolen motorcycle from them.
In a separate raid, police arrested two extortionists from Quaidabad area and recovered arms from their possession while a dacoit was arrested from Mahmoodabad area.
Police also arrested two dacoits from Sher Shah area while five suspectes were arrested during a targeted operation in Shah Faisal Colony.
Meanwhile, some unidentified gunmen opened fire in Mawach Goth and Gulshan Maymar and shot dead two people. The identity of the deceased is not yet known.
