Major parts of Balochistan without gas second day

QUETTA Dec 21 (PPI): Balochistan Capital Quetta and other parts of the province are without gas supply for the last 24 hours. Normally gas pressure drops with the advent of winter.
According to details a fault developed in the boiler of gas purification at Sui two days ago and supply was affected from his plant to Balochistan and Sindh. Supply of 110 mmcfd was affected. With the result supply was badly affected and major parts in provincial capital and other parts of the province had either low pressure or no gas at all.
Somewhat supply was available it was form Zarghoon field which was contributing 50 mmcfd.
SSGC sources told PPI Sunday that another 50 mmcfd would be added to the system from this plant.
Due to suspension of gas form Sui plant gas to 30 percent industries in Sindh has been cut off. Similarly supply of gas to Thermal Power plant Quetta, Habibullah Coastal Power plant in Quetta has also been stopped. Supply of gas to CNG and industry in Balochistan is not stopped, sources added.
Asked for how long supply would remain shut, sources added 48 hours were required for the repair of the plant. This means another 24 hours would be needed for it and supply would be resorted sometime late Monday.
