QUETTA: The provincial and regional transport authorities are continuing action against the public transport fleecing the passengers on account of fares in Quetta.
The Secretary Provincial Transport Authority (PTA), Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail and Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Amanullah Panezai along with other concerned staff raided in different areas of the metropolis and ordered to impound three local buses on charges of overcharging of the fares.
The route permits of the buses were also suspended by the authorities. Three more local buses were fined in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary PTA asserted that no one would be allowed to loot the passengers in the province.
He regretfully pointed out that despite issuance of the clear directives and warnings, the complaints regarding overcharging of the fares are being received.
The Secretary PTA warned that stern action would be taken against those transporters not following the decision of the government regarding reduction in the transport fares.
No one would be spared when it comes to take action against the fleecing transporters, he maintained.
